I haven't been to Madame Tussauds in London for a while, and with the Marvel Super Heroes 4D almost (well until May 30th) being a year old, my husband and I really wanted to see this exhibition. After you've walked around the building experiencing the realistic (in some cases a bit too realistic - Boris Johnson!?) waxwork models and the fantastic 'Spirit of London' ride you finally reach the Marvel area or Super Hero Command Centre (please note: you do have to pay a few quid extra to get in). The first thing which really isn't dfifficult to notice is the Incredible Hulk. I managed to squeeze myself into his grabbing hand - always a fun photo opportunity. Spider-Man is a fantastic interactive model, where visitors can 'hang out' with him, but the best one at all in my opinion was Samuel L. Jackson's Iron Man character Nick Fury. It was then onto the Marvel Superheroes 4D film...
A nine minute movie complete with high impact special effects. The story unites a team of Super Heroes including Hulk, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Iron Man in a battle to stop evil genius Doctor Doom from detroying the command centre. The 4D element consists of being splashed with water (or dog sneeze), vibrating seats and Wolverine's claws coming through the back of your seat! A totally enjoyable experience for everyone. Doctor Doom is defeated and the super heroes save the command centre (that you're sitting in) from being blown up. The Marvel experience is worth a visit should you be in Tussauds for the day.
In other news Bieber fever will reach Madame Tussauds this March with a new waxwork of 'award winning singer and social media king' Justin Bieber - oh dear - I don't think any super hero is going to stop that one from happening.
